Why doesn't my transcript have speakers labeled?

Updated today

Speaker labeling is only available for scheduled meetings with calendar events. Manually captured meetings and conversations without calendar entries will show unlabeled speakers.

How to label speakers

For scheduled meetings, you can teach Radiant who said what by labeling speakers in the transcript:

  1. Click on the Transcript button

  2. Click on any unlabeled speaker (e.g., "Speaker 0") to see a dropdown of meeting participants

  3. Select the correct person—this labels all their comments throughout the meeting

  4. Rename the display name if needed

Radiant remembers labeled speakers for future meetings with the same people, improving transcript accuracy over time.

Note: Speaker labeling is only available for scheduled meetings (meetings with a calendar event).

Why are the speakers in my transcript not accurate?

Your Radiant uses your local machine audio to capture the meeting. What this means, is we use your Mac system microphone to capture what is being said.

If your transcript is confusing, or seems to be inaccurate, please confirm the following:

  • Head to System Settings

  • Scroll down to Sound

  • Head to the Output and Input section and confirm which name and type is defaulted

Note: Radiant is most accurate when your Mac microphone is defaulted (highlighted) for each. If you are having inaccurate transcript results, it may be because your phone or other system microphone is defaulted, and switching to your Mac microphone will improve results
